People can choose a service which suits them best, combining different types of support for variety and accessing opportunities. We do not have a specific criteria for referring to our service; if you are interested in receiving support from ourselves, you can contact us directly, through a social worker or family member and we can get the process started. For more information on how to access our services, please contact Aimee on 0161 652 6466, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Our Day Service is located in the heart of the community in Chadderton, just behind the Town Hall. We open from 9am-3.30pm Monday to Friday, and 12pm-5pm on Saturdays and Sundays
(These times can be flexible in accordance with your care package to best suit your needs – we can offer a bespoke service combining Day Service/1:1 support).
Adapted bikes in an indoor and outdoor setting, which can build on your motor skills and mobility
We all love a game of Bowling at the local Bowling alley! – How many strikes can you get?
We encourage our service users who are able to do so, to visit the local swimming baths as often as possible.
At Pathways, we are firm believers that ‘music is the key to our soul’. We have a fantastic amp and disco light system which provides endless hours of karaoke, dancing and entertainment for those who enjoy music. We also love to listen to music on the radio and encourage the people we support to request their favourite songs to listen to
We have created our own bespoke sensory room to meet the needs of the people we support, who have autism and sensory needs. The Sensory Room is a fantastic place to relax, take in the sounds, lights and fibre optics and is a safe space for everyone who wishes to utilise it
Our fully qualified Zumba instructor does a weekly class on a Tuesday. This will get your blood pumping and is guarenteed to make you smile!
We have foot-spa’s, creams, relaxing music and gentle hands which will ensure you are fully de-stressed. We also have makeup, nail varnish and encourage you to bring in your own toiletries for a little ‘spruce up’ to make you feel wonderful before you go home.
We love to party at Pathways to opportunities, and we have so much fun hosting Christmas, Summer and Halloween parties throughout the year. We’re also partial to having fancy dress competitions if you are up for a challenge.
We provide paints, pencils, paper and other materials to bring out the creative side in you. We particularly enjoy making crafts around special occasions such as Birthdays, Easter, Christmas and any other holiday we can celebrate!
Our friendly, approachable and well-trained staff team can support individuals out in the community, whether that be to accompany them to appointments, explore opportunities and activities in the area, take part in exercise and hobbies, shopping, and more! Most of our staff team drive their own vehicles, but for those that do not they are happy to accompany people on public transport. Transport costs are not included in the price of our services and must be paid for separately.
Care at home
Pathways to Opportunities are registered with the Care Quality Commission to support people with their personal care as a regulated activity (please see latest inspection report and link to our CQC page below). We are also able to provide support in people’s homes with medication administration, and household tasks. We ensure to provide all of our Care at Home support in a person-centred way, and encourage those who we support to have their choices and dignity respected in all aspects of support, whilst encouraging independence as much as possible.
